O-M-G

One thing that there is no doubt about is that our Cooper is a very expressive little guy. People always say that Cooper looks just like Josh...that even though he has Julia's eyes, nose and coloring, there's something about his face and especially his expressions that make him look exactly like his daddy. To which Josh always replies, "You mean I make crazy super exaggerated faces all the time??" We'll let everyone else be the judge on that one.

When Cooper gets excited, we can't help but totally crack up at his reactions. His mouth turns into a little "O" and he flaps his hands and his whole body starts shaking, which we call his OOO-M-G reaction. He started doing it right when he turned 3 months old and has been doing it ever since. The first time we captured his excited face was back in January. Josh likes to say that the Rebels' Cotton Bowl victory started it all:

Now that he can stand and is starting to get mobile, he gets his whole body in the mix and shakes and waves whenever he's excited. In Tahoe, Uncle Alex and Auntie Nikki found that little golf balls did the trick, and Cooper entertained everyone:

We love how expressive our little guy (for better and for worse...he definitely expresses himself when he's upset, too!!) and hope he always keeps his sense of wonder and excitement!

I've been a bit behind on the blogging lately, and so much has happened...Cooper turned 10 months old, cut his first tooth, took his first step, and he finally got to go on our first big family vacation. For over 40 years now, my family has been going to Zephyr Cove every summer, and Coop was the first of the new generation to experience all of the traditions and have a blast at the beach. We had perfect weather and an awesome time hanging out with everyone and seeing everything through Cooper's eyes! We'll catch up on all of the other big events soon :)

We started our drive up at Cooper's bedtime, drove while he slept, and when we arrived around 1am he was totally ready to rock:

The next morning we headed to the Lodge for our daily breakfast. Unfortunately Cooper's still a little young to enjoy the Camper's skillet and awesome buttermilk biscuits.

Cooper's uncles had so much fun hanging with him. Cooper is letting Uncle Adam know that wiffle ball baseball is a very serious sport:

Dinner at the Chart House was a little much for a 10 month old's attention span, so Uncle Pat took Cooper out to entertain him on the rocks. Hard to believe Robbie and Tyler used to do the same thing and now they're off to college...god am I old!
