TWO!!

Almost impossible to believe, but today my baby turns 2! He is the light of our lives, the funniest, sweetest, and most precious person that we have ever known.

Cooper loves 2 things: trains, and firetrucks. For his Big 2nd Birthday, we threw a firetruck themed birthday party, and he had a blast with all of his friends! Willow Glen Fire Station 6 sent their fire truck over and let each of the kids have a turn climbing on the engine, turning on the siren, and even turning on the water hose.

Cooper loved hanging out with the firemen, and hasn't stopped talking about the "Woo woo truck" since.

Vrooom vroom! Pretending to drive:

Trying to corral 17 kids for a photo-op...most of them made it in!

Cooper couldn't get enough "cupcakey". Since it was his birthday, we let him have two...though I'm pretty sure his uncles snuck him a couple more as well :)

We love you, precious baby! Happy 2nd birthday, we can't wait to see what the next year brings!

M-i-s-s-i-s-s-i-p-p-i!!

We made our annual summer trip to Mississippi last week and had the best time!! Cooper couldn't get enough of hanging out with his big cousin Foster ("Haha") and little cousin Andy ("Eeee"). And Foster loved having little "Ebert" (his name for Cooper, we're not sure how he came up with that one!) to follow him around. We have quite an interesting family with Haha, Ebert, and Ee-ee running around!

Cooper was obsessed with tackling and trying to cuddle with Foster, but Foster was a little suspicious of Ebert:

Cooper loved playing in Foster's huge yard, which he thought was a park since it was so big, had so many toys, and even had a huge play structure in it!

Driving with Haha - note that they hadn't been in the water yet, that's just sweat drenching their hair from the Mississippi heat!

The biggest hit with the boys, by far, was naked swimming in the plastic pool in the yard, and Cooper especially loved being in charge of the water:

Mississippi has an awesome new Children's Museum that the boys had a blast at, though we had trouble dragging them away from the train table to go check out the rest of the museum:

Bathtime!!

Morning art projects in Haha's Park:

It was way too hot in the afternoon to bother with wearing clothes!

Cooper absolutely LOVED Baby Andy, and wanted to hold his hand, tickle his feet, or kiss his head constantly.

He kept saying "Perper hold!!", since he desperately wanted to hold Andy just like we did, but Andy was a little too big for Perper to manage!

The weekend before the 4th, we went up to Bec's Fish Camp outside of Brooksville, Mississippi. When I say we were in the middle of nowhere, that's not really doing it justice. The boys loved running all over the lake and exploring, and Josh and I loved having zero cell phone service and therefore couldn't check emails or do any work.

Chasing the doggie all over the camp:

Julia with the official Ole Miss Ambassador....Josh's Uncle Jim bought Josh this shirt at a second hand store for $1.77 and Josh wore it all weekend, continually declaring himself the official Ambassador of Ole Miss (there may have been a few beers involved here). He left the shirt in MS to wear it next time we're back, since no one in California really knows exactly what Ole Miss is :)

Hanging out with the uncles!

And Yaya!

OMG....another play pool! Heaven!

Hanging out at Gigi's house, having a snack together. Cooper kept pointing his spoon at Foster and shouting "Yeaaah!!!!!!!"

On the last night we finally got all three boys on the couch for a picture. Almost 200 snaps later, we got just a handful that worked :)

Coop now poses for all of his pictures, either with a big smile:

Or with his fist under his chin:

I love the three pouty faces!

Cuddling with Ee-ee:

After a very long and difficult trip home, we spent 4th of July at Grandma and Papa's house in Morgan Hill.

Happy Fourth of July!!!!! We can't wait to get back to Mississippi soon!

Cooper and Cody

Cooper's best friend in the whole world is our yellow lab, Cody. From the second he wakes up, he asks for "Hhha Hhaaa" (dog panting sound), which is what he call his beloved Codes.

He loves to snuggle with him, sit in his lap, chase him around the house, touch (or....pull) his "tayyy" (tail), and point out his eyes, ears, nose, teeth, tongue, paws, and back. Cody is just the most wonderful, patient, loving guy and when he gets annoyed....he just retreats quietly to his bed and sighs the biggest doggie sigh and rolls his eyes at this crazy little guy who upended his world :)

Morning snuggle time!

The one activity that both Cooper AND Cody love is "fetch". We use the term loosely since much of the game involves Cooper running from Cody with the ball in his hand:

Easter!!

There's something about Easter that I just love - the cute outfits, colorful Easter eggs, and it means Spring is here and summer can't be far behind!

We had such an great Easter, and we've had the most awesome time with Cooper this year being old enough to really start to "get" holidays. He absolutely loved the eggs ("gguss"), bubbles ("booboos"), and had a blast with his friends and family at all of the Easter events.

Our wonderful playgroup friends Rachel and Deanna hosted the cutest Easter egg hunt for the kids on Saturday morning. Coop was very excited to see all of his friends and all of the fun activities Rachel and Deanna had planned for us:

Fun for the parents, too:

Ready for the hunt to begin!

Coop loves the ladies :)

After the party, we headed to Grandma and Papa's house and dyed eggs with everyone to get ready for Easter morning:

Cooper's favorite way to ask for something - "One more??":

The Easter Bunny arrived the night before:

And Cooper went crazy opening everything up Easter morning!

Favorite Easter gift - a vacuum cleaner of his very own!

Cooper loved hunting for eggs over and over again, and we had the most fun and relaxing Easter!
